"Every blade of grass has its Angel that bends over it and whispers, 'Grow, grow'." -- The Talmud.
Are you an artist who needs someone to bend over you and whisper, "Grow, grow?"
Would your art benefit from having more encouragement, sponsorship, and/or promotion?
Wouldn't it be nice if a generous benefactor gave you one year's worth of living expenses, so that you could practice your art without having to worry about paying the bills?
The fact of the matter is that most artists need the aforementioned -- encouragement, a hook up, some financial help. Most of us are roses that grew in the cracks of the concrete. We didn't get the sunshine, rain, or love we needed to bloom, because our family members don't value art. They value lawyers, engineers, and other professions that come with security and steady paychecks.
Ok, fine. If they're the kind of people who don't support art, no problem; to each his own. We artists won't go looking to them for support anymore, casting our pearls before swine. We'll find it amongst our peers and amongst those who value what we do. And there are plenty of people who value what we do!
This blog will be a hub for them, for us.
May You Live the Artist's Life Always...
